A College MOVED A 9/11 MEMORIAL Because Of The DUMBEST Possible Reason…

I cannot see for the life of me how anyone would ever be able to get offended by a 9/11 memorial, but when you throw liberals into the equation…Young Americans for Freedom faced censorship at Southern Methodist University for a display they wanted to erect to honor those lost on 9/11.

From Todd Starnes: For the past two years, the Young Americans for Freedom chapter at Southern Methodist University displayed nearly 3,000 American flags on a prominent university lawn to remember those killed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

But Old Glory won’t be posted on the Dallas Hall Lawn this year – even though the display had been well-received by the student body.

The university objected to the location of the display, citing a revised policy aimed at protecting students from “harmful or triggering” messages.

“While the University respects the rights of students to free speech, the University respects the right of members of the community to avoid messages that are triggering, harmful, or harassing,” the policy reads.

Just exactly who is triggered by a display honoring the people who were killed on 9/11?

Someone triggered by the evil American flags? Someone triggered by a display caring about people killed in a terrorist attack because obviously, that’s being anti-Muslim and discriminatory?

Todd Starnes spoke with the school spokesperson, Kent Best. He said a lot of activities took place on the lawn that the display could interfere with. They moved the display, to a much less prominent place on the campus.

“SMU respects the rights of all campus community members to express their opinions, as well as their right to be free from coercion and harassment,” Best told me.

Now, what is that supposed to mean?

How does a display actually ‘coerce’ or ‘harass’ anyone?
